Travis Smith

Education Background:

Travis started as a nonunion hodcarriers before joining the union as an apprentice bricklayer, his first job as an apprentice was for Cascade, he spent time at several different companies during his apprenticeship but ended up back at Cascade before graduating as a journeyman bricklayer. Since then Travis has continued his education taking plan reading classes through the AGC to help further he career in becoming a foreman.

What you like most about working for Cascade:

Travis like the office staff always being ready and willing to help, he like the company culture and being part of making Cascade a great place to work with a good work environment at all times.

Interests:

Spending time with family, sports, hunting, fishing and camping.

Dan Casey

Education Background:

Dan started in the masonry trade in 1991 and completed his apprenticeship program as a bricklayer and became a foreman in 2001. Dan has continued to further is knowledge by taking stone masonry classes through the International masonry Institute and becoming Juan certified for masonry restoration, along with safety training in Osha 30 and EM-385 fall protection. Dan has worked on many of the buildings and infrastructure we see in our communities today ranging from High Rise towers in downtown cores, Light Rail Stations, and Sporting Venues.

What you like most about working for Cascade:

Dan like the positive safe work environment at Cascade along with great support from the office staff.

Interests:

Skiing and Snowboarding, Coaching Lacrosse and Fishing.

Curt Cobb

Artak Abrahamyan

Education Background:

Artak started as an apprentice with Cascade Construction where he completed his apprenticeship was promoted to a few years later.

What you like most about working for Cascade:

Artak like that he is working all the time and that he is able to be the foreman on most of our North Sound Projects.

Ab Rossow

Education Background:

Ab is a 3rd generation bricklayer who started his masonry career 2 weeks out of high school completing his apprenticeship program in just 3 years and stated becoming a foreman at the age of 21. Ab has experience in almost all aspects of masonry including Refractory work.

What you like most about working for Cascade:

Ab like working with a family owned business, and the with all the field staff working for Cascade.

Interests:

In his spare time Ron likes to golf and enjoy good food and wine.aIn his spare time Ab likes going to sporting events with family to watch is daughter, wood working, fishing, and projects around the house.

Jason Conwell

Education Background:

Jason started working for Cascade Construction as a mechanic and truck driver, as Cascade grew Jason took on more responsibility’s and is now the equipment manager with a five-person team supporting our field operations. Jason is responsible for scheduling deliveries of material and equipment to projects and over sees the repair and maintenance of all equipment equipment. Jason completed Motorcycle Mechanics Institute In 2001 and has a class A CDL.

What you like most about working for Cascade:

The best part about working for Cascade Construction is the company is always looking for ways to be more efficient and think outside the box. Always willing to try equipment new to the industry.

Hunting, camping, hiking.

Spending time with family, hiking the Pacific Northwest, camping, finding hidden swimming holes. bricklaying competitions, building beautiful projects.

Education Background:

High School graduate – Transitioned from the legal field after nearly two decades and began my career in Construction Management/Operations in 2016 in residential construction. Worked my way up to Commercial Construction Management in early 2020 before starting with Cascade in September 2025.

What you like most about working for Cascade:

The sense of pride I hold for my team. I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to learn a new trade among some of the very best in the industry. Our leadership, staff, and field crews continuously demonstrate what it means to work together toward a common goal and overall company success. There is a reason Cascade is among the highest ranked Masonry Contractors in the PNW, and I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to serve alongside this team.

Interests:

Mother to four grown children, “Mimi” to four fantastic grandchildren. My interests include serving on multiple boards and volunteering within my community. I enjoy country/western partner dancing, fishing, camping, summertime water activities, and family time.

I am a mother of 4 who enjoys being outdoors. My family and I do everything outdoors from camping, fishing, and clamming, to four-wheeling and sports. Besides being outside and being a mom, family time is probably my #1 interest.

What you like most about working for Cascade:

Throughout my years with Cascade, I have enjoyed the technical builds with Mast Climbing Scaffolds. I like jobs that force me to think outside of the box to come up solutions that are both safe and most productive.

Interests:

In my free time I enjoy fishing with friends and boating on the lake in the summer with my family. I love to go to Hockey games and can catch me at most Thunderbird games supporting young and upcoming NHL players. I also recently became a foster parent and look forward to that exciting journey.

What you like most about working for Cascade:

Hands down, the work environment. You can ask questions or ask for help and someone is right there to answer the question or teach me. With me coming into cascade as entry level, I have learned more about what my position entails because the office wants to see me succeed. I am very excited to be here and to grow with Cascade.

Interests:

I am a mother to 4 kids who keep me pretty busy. Between sports and extra curriculars, you can find me on the side lines of a court or in a theater chair watching my children perform. When I am not on mom mode, I love taking care of my plants and spending time with my fiancé.

Ron Adams

Education Background:

Ron grew up going to work with his dad (Ron A. Adams) since he was a little kid, he started working summers when he was 12 around the shop to earn money. During his senior year of high school Ron started working in the car stereo industry and spend 4 years in various positions before returning to work with his dad full time in 1999. At that time Cascade did a variety of things and Ron was working in the field running jobs. When the decision was made to grow the company and focus on Masonry Ron started to learn estimating and the rest of the office work to run a successful company. Ron has attended numerous training and education sessions over his 20+ years in the industry including the WSCMC Certified masonry Contractor Program where Cascade Construction became a Certified Masonry Contractor. Ron has spend a lot of time on industry related board, he is currently on the Board of the Masonry Institute of Washington and the Regional Vice President for the Masonry Contactors Association of America, he has also served on the JATC and Health and Welfare trust for the Bricklayers Local 1 WA.

What you like most about working for Cascade:

I love the fact that I get to work with my family, my brother (our VP and estimator) and I have worked hard to grow the business way beyond what my dad ever thought we could do, having him see our growth and be a part of it is priceless. I work hard every day to make him proud of our accomplishments.
